The Test of English as a Foreign Language - TOEFL measures your ability to communicate in English. TOEFL is accepted by 6,000+ institutions in more than 130 countries. With more than 4,300 test centers worldwide, taking the test is convenient and easy. The TOEFL measures how well you read, listen, speak and write in English and use these skills together in the university classroom. For example, you might read a passage or listen to a lecture, and then write or speak about what you learned. You can take the Internet-based Test (iBT) or the Paper-based Test (PBT), depending on which format is offered at your chosen test center. You would be required to take the TOEFL test, If you are planning to study at colleges and universities where the medium of instruction is English. TOEFL is used for admissions to the top colleges and universities around the world including those based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia and New Zealand. In addition, many government agencies, scholarship programs, and licensing/certification agencies use TOEFL scores to evaluate English proficiency. TOEFL offers the iBT-Internet Based Test in most locations and where this is not available it offers Paper Based Tests toapplicants.
